Devizes and District Link Post – request for help!

Devizes and District Link
Charity Registration No 1019971

The LINK ‘Good Neighbour Scheme’ is a nationally inspired movement of volunteers who care about the elderly, infirm and vulnerable in their communities.

Who are we?
Devizes and District LINK was launched in 1993 as a registered Charity, when a committee was formed and a dedicated team of drivers and non-drivers from every walk of life came together to serve the community by giving lifts, collecting prescriptions, visiting or just being good neighbours.
Who can use our services?
Unfortunately, because of the lack of volunteers, we have had to reduce what we are able to do by only supplying transportation of clients to medical appointments. Anyone in the community of any age may ask for Link transport assistance for routine surgery or hospital appointments, where no other means of transport is available.

What area do we cover?
The Devizes and District Link voluntary service is available to those living in the Devizes district including the villages of: All Cannings, Bishops Cannings, Bromham, Charlton, the Cheverells, Chirton, Devizes, Etchilhampton, Marden, Patney, Poulshot, Potterne, Roundway, Rowde and Stert, Wilsford.

How are we funded?
LINK relies on donations from groups or individuals, legacies, and fund-raising events.
Each time clients use our service they are given an envelope and asked to donate within their means towards our running costs.
